I've managed to talk the missus into roughing it a couple of nights when we travel up to Scottyland next month, so I'm now in the process of looking for a compact tent/ sleeping bags etc.
For the tent:

Anyone every used one of these? £50 is pretty much the limit of my budget as we still have other things to get before we go.
Haven't got a clue about sleeping bags yet. Something that can be compressed tiny that will still keep you warm at night.
The luggage space we will have will be a be a Givi Maxi top box, Oxford First Time soft panniers and a fairly large expandable tank bag. ____________________ Sold: 2003 satin black Yamaha R6

A medium sized tent is not much bigger than a tiny tent when packed up, it's not as if the weight matters much on a bike.
Don't forget there will be other stuff you will want inside ideally when it's lashing down outside |

Measure out an area 130x220 cm on the floor. Both lie down in it.
That is the MAXIMUM outsaide dimensions of the sleeping area in that tent. As in, if you're touching one of the edges of that area, you're leaniong against the side of the tent. It actually tapers in towards the foot end too. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
