Another plod who thinks he's above the rest of us.

McDonalds near Nursling at about 8am this morning.

Before someone comes up with bullshit about operational reasons for parking there.
He parked, went in the front door, came out the back door 10 mins later than went for a wander over the other side of the site to the petrol station, if he needed to be with the vehicle he would have driven there.
Obviously doesn't give a toss because not only was it the disabled bay, he blocked use of the bay next to it.

Just lazy fucks who think they can lord it over everyone else.

Quite shocking really. The only 'understandable' explanation I can think of is that his line of work means he often has to dump the van in the nearest possible space, so he just did it like that without thinking.

Still, he really does deserve a disciplinary.

Confused look to the right side of the car he parked next to Wink
Remember he must have taken the time to reverse into that parking position.

Well, I wasn't condoning the guy, I was just trying to suggest a genuine explanation for why someone might do something so daft!

Or maybe the copper wasn't daft at all. Maybe he knew it was private land, so any parking altercation is just a petty civil dispute (Mcdonalds painted the car park layout, not the council), it's quite obvious no harm or damage was caused, and the fact that all the vehicles park so neatly within the marked bays is simply down to the niceness of the public who go there. Not a single law was broken, as far as I'm aware.

Come to think of it, I'd say the copper may well have known exactly what he was doing. Car park troll level: Infinity! Laughing

who cares? It's McDonalds ffs. Nothing of importance will happen if a crip can't park in that exact spot at that exact time.

Maybe, just maybe, the filthy pig driving the bus has just as much boiling rage just below the skin as I have for these spazspots - in that they pop up everywhere because it's necessary for inclusion of the differently abled to society or some other such trumpetcuntery.

Or maybe he was a douche.

You should care, the car park is quite small and regularly full, what if someone with a wheelchair or false leg needs to swing their door wide open to enable getting in our out of the car, do what, take up 2 spaces if any are available?.
Just because this lazy cunt knew he wasn't breaking any laws doesn't mean it's ok.

Maybe he doesn't like disabled people who eat at McDonalds so he parks the largest vehicle he can get out of the plod compound there.

Wooooah there, careful rolling those bad boys around! Just because you think I should care doesn't mean I do, neither do I feel the need to!

I think disabled people have been given a tough break, but I don't think they should get a parking spot at the pointy end of the car park. And I don't think the councils of this green and pleasant land should be so quick to daub the tarmac with a white line or seven in the hope that a 'disabled' mark on the floor will stop another taxpayer parking in a particular spot (and what happens when Mr Benefits moves to another house I wonder?)

I think a car park is there to park cars in. Other than that information, this slightly rebellious citizen might not even pay heed to the de rigeur parking formations imposed by mein Kapitan.

Did you not watch the Paralympics? Those burgers can run jump and lift way better than I can so they don't really need the special places to park.

Amazingly you are not the only person on this planet, there are others.

Just a tiny bit of consideration for others is all it takes, 2 spaces for the whole car park so someone not so able bodied as you or me can get in or out of their car without having to ding peoples cars because they need doors wide open.

I disagree with many of the disabled spaces, like in Salisbury where it seems 75% of all spaces are free disabled bays but 2, out of a whole car park and you are too lazy to park in a different one because, hey fuck them?

Yeah, I know... (Tips head to Andy)

Makes no difference what I think, I'm just saying the person driving the bus might have had an opinion of the matter and may have been simply expressing him or her self.

You did ask them about it, didn't you?

The council send someone round to burn the markings off the road and remove the blue sign.

I think the problem here is that those that are employed by the public to uphold the law and should know the law and not show a blatant disrespect for it.

Not the biggest crime of the century I admit, but they should be setting an example. Rolling Eyes

As the police 'service' are fully inclusive of all genders, races, religions, less-abled, blah-de-fuckingblah, then it's quite possible that the driver of the meat-wagon actually was a fully blown spacker and was within his/her right to park there.

Just sayin.

I wouldn't really call parking in a disabled bay at Macs sociopathic.

I mean, it's showing a blatant disregard for the law, but a lack of empathy?

If anything, blocking the disabled from topping up on fat and salt is a public service. Wouldn't want conditions deteriorating further, would we.

Genuinely don't know if I'm right or wrong, but I thought that laws are somewhat moot on private land?

The markings on the ground are just McDonalds' way of saying, "Please be orderly and park like this because it'll make things easier for everyone else, but if you do start dicking around there's nothing we can really do about it until you're causing actual damage or harm or risk to others."

I mean, as it's private land, they could have a huge sign saying 'NO GAYS', 'NO SPACKERS', 'NO POLICE', or whatever, but none of their desires would be enforceable by law - anybody could turn up and 'have a go'. Same goes for the disabled bays in the image.

Just because it's a gigantic, global corporate entity, McDonalds isn't any more special. Think of it as a grotty local pub car park. Or a privately owned field. Same rules apply.

Or at least I think that's how it works.

I think you're right on the disabled parking space point, but not on the no blacks, no dogs no Irish thing. For instance, a commercial premises isn't quite private - and is bound by e.g. such laws as those requiring adequate disabled access (unless there's some get-out to do with historical frontages or whatever)...so there are at least some laws that apply. Having said that, I did hear yesterday that not all train stations are obliged to provide some form of disabled access - either to platforms or trains themselves. I was pretty shocked about that. Apparently it won't be until 2015 that this requirement becomes law. That's fairly fucked up in my view.

I would. I really would, there's no punchline. It's saying "I don't give a toss about anyone else, especially the vulnerable who need protecting" and that's a concerning quality in a member of the biggest gang around whose only reason for existing is to protect the weak from the strong.

Get me, up on my high hobby horse. Rolling Eyes
