Yeah. Scotland.

The main street he drove through was Pitlochry, Scotland apparently. All the roads were Scotland too. See here: https://t.co/szuGkStIBY

I went to school in Letchworth and I knew that he certainly wasn't there!

Oooh, ooh, I know, let's delay it indefinitely because of some Nigels and Jocastas batting a ball around, and then make sure that we don't put it on iPlayer so that anyone who recorded it is totally F'd in the A. For bonus points, show it as "coming soon" on iPlayer, the blue balls of the internets promise. Top notch, chaps, splendid work. Brick Wall

I know it's always been this way, but it's far too contrived in bits. How convenient that the free runners had some fake glass to jump through, and you could clearly see where they'd taken more than one take for the guys back flipping off stuff.

Same with the taxi race, cars flipping, stuff getting driven through, yeah yeah.

Yup, that was back to the pathetic scripted tosh that we've come to know and despise. Thumbs Down

Aww, Ron Howard was nice though. Thumbs Up

I'm normally the first to stand up and defend Top Gear as an "entertainment show with a motoring theme" rather than a "car show".

But last night was just bollocks.

You don't accidentally drive through a limo. You fill in risk assessments, fit roll cages, employ stunt drivers, rehearse and rehearse again and finally you get Russ Swift to do it. Too much. And when you're in TV centre and you've scripted a race between two kids who run another one who rides a BMX with an engine, you don't get to watch it all on a remote monitor pretending like you can see every detail on the CCTV commentating clearly rather than frantically switching between cameras looking for anything and anyone.

Pap.

I'm a pretty big Top Gear apologist but this series has been poor so far. Sure, the F12 was nice and the Mono was interesting but in whole it was a pile of pish.

PS. Ron Howard, you're a multimillionaire, either get a hair transplant or shave the sides. You look ridiculous.

That said, it did have a motorbike on it and Clarkson admitted to riding a pushbike.

A little research revealed some photographic evidence.

Curved top-tube. Specialized?

I thought a taxi driving through a limo was pretty cool.

You people complain every week but you still tune in next week. Isn't that saying something?

Counterpoint: I usually enjoy it for what it is, but that was a poorly scripted and filmed episode. Far. Too. Many. Jump. Cuts.
