stolen varadero, edinburgh

So yesterday I get off the bus at Drylaw police station after seeing Despicable Me 2 Very Happy

I then hear the Varadero rev up. So I look up to see its overtaking a stopped bus. First thing I noticed was the L-plate on the front. The next was the Jakie riding with just trackies n hoodie with no helmet, hood tied round his face as tight as he could get it with a balaclava hiding the rest of it. And then, I noticed he had 3 of his mates on the back! Ripped the reg of the back.
The bike must have been from either Drylaw, Pilton or Muirhouse. 3 areas I would not want to own a nice bike stored out so easily stolen.
I was gonna stop into the police station to report it, only to find a sign on the front door... Closed!

A loved my wee Vara. cept for the glitchy speedo sensor and FI sensor.

Hope they're all getting skin grafts somewhere, but I doubt it'd have enough power to get up to a decent speed when 4 up.

Yep, closed. There was a riot back in the 80s I think that involved gangs from Drylaw, Pilton and Muirhouse meeting up at the central point and fighting it out. The police station was essentially taken over and lots of officers suffered fairly badly. So they then made it essentially part time.

The bike actually looked to have coped fairly well with 4 of them on it. Seriously hope they binned themselves in a ditch somewhere
