licence question

So my mate from work showed me her new licence, sent away for renewal basically. Came back with an A entitlement on it. It says 19/01/13 in the valid from box and 28/12/54 and then 79 (tri) in the last box. What does this mean?

She passed her test and gained the Entitlement for Motorcycles which is valid from 19th of January 2013...
The 28/12/54 expiry date is for when she will need to inform the DVLA that she wises to renew her entitlement to ride motorcycles (When she turns 70 years old)

The 79 code is "restricted to vehicles in conformity with the specifications stated in brackets on your licence"
Not sure what that means my self... but click here to See More


EDIT: Actually after-rereading the post.


This whole thing means she can ride Trikes..

No it doesn't.

She doesn't have a bike licence. As the rules changed in January on her car licence she can now ride a trike too, that it what it means.
