Ubuntu 13.04, color mode

Hello, I finally got ubuntu working and tried an old game, I know it has to be run at 16bits color mode, but I can't find where to switch the mode.

It says: D3D ERROR REPORT
You have to run Windows in High Color mode (16 bits)
In: GetWindowsBPPP ()
File: ..\scr\choice.cpp
Line: 108

Thank you for any help, is there a way how to get Ubuntu 12.XX theme/looks? I can't find a thing in this 13.XX version.

Is it a Windows game running via WINE?, if so try looking on the winehq website.

Also try opening a terminal session and running winecfg, there might be a setting in there you can tweak.
