The funking little chav bastards who should all be shot and ground into little bits have struck again Sad This time to my funking bike!!!!!

Thought I would leave my bike on the front drive as I was only intending to stay at home for about 30 mins at the most till my friend got home. Looked out the front to check up on my bike to see nothing there Shocked FUNKING HELL MY BIKE'S BEEN STOLEN!!!!! My mums in a panic so she calls the police who are as always happy to hell and do nothing, so got in the car for a search of the area. Going past my old primary school I see a number plate of a bike in the distance, got closer to realise its my funking bike. I leped out the car shouting "GET THE FUNK OFF MY FUNKING BIKE!!!!!" The little funking chav jumps off the bike but i quickly grabed it so it wouldn't fall. I'm quite lucky that the bike hadn't been drop and it was still in good condition apart from a drilled lock. I don't know if the steering lock has been ripped apart of not and I can't turn the electrics off Sad

I am very funking lucky as I actually got my bike back, my comet is too nice to become a field bike, makes me feel sick Sick though Sad

Sorry for the level of funk

Aww, sorry to hear about that. Glad to see you got it back though, many don't Sad

I think if it were I, I'd have forgotten about the bike and gone for the guy. A boot in the betty swollocks would suffice for him.

Do you know how much its going to cost you to get it replaced?

P.S Did you have any security on the bike at all?

Unlucky. Ignition switch should cost about 30 quid. Electrics wires will be tied together for hotwiring, that's why the electrics won't go off.

You need to put a disclock or something on, youre just asking for this to happen if you leave a bike with only its key to protect it

You know the key provides no protection what so ever so you are basically accepting that if a chav walks past they can steal it at will.

Stupidly no Embarassed so it is kind of my fault and i have learn't my lesson. I was only leaving it for a few moments.

It shouldn't take too much for it to be sorted, new barrel, sort out the wires.

I couldn't have gone for the guy as much as I would have liked. If I had layed a finger on him I would be the one in the poop seeing as he was no more then 16 + there were 3 of them and also my mum was watching. O and I didn't want the bike to drop.

I don't know much about the wires on the bike so I'll have to look for where it has been hot wired.

thanks guys

You can always disconnect the battery to stop it being drained. Disconnect the negative first.

16 years old or not...they all should be taught a lesson, and if our laws won't allow it, then DIY....Very Happy

I take a cheap disk lock everywhere I go, I recommend you take on as well, but always under the seat. Not good idea to ride with a lock in your pocket.

If you cant leave your bike outside your own house for 30 minutes, what can you do!

Glad to hear you got it back though!

Thanks guys.

Yeah I'll be getting a disc lock when the bike is off to be fixed, its all locked up with chains and locks right out side the back door so fingers crossed it should be safe there.

Cool I'll go do that now I was thinking of undoing the battery but wasn't too sure at the time. Was looking for where it was hotwired Confused looked be hind the light and under the tank and can see anything out of place Confused

Is the ignition not just jammed on?

You can get disc locks off ebay for like 20p or something ridiculous, buy two of them. Quick and easy.

Wont stop all bike theft, but would have stopped this particular incident.

I'd put the bike on it's stand and beat the f*ck out at least one of them. Seriously f*cked the little chav up regardless of age. Did you reconise him? Go pay the little c*nt a visit Twisted Evil Fill his nostrils with chain wax 'till he pukes. Kick him in the balls 'till he bleeds and then really lay into the little sh1thouse.

The ignition barrel has be removed so I have to get a new one.

As for beating the funk out of the little bastard, don't get me wrong I would have loved to smash the gits face in but I was more conserned about the state of my bike and if I had layed a finger on him who do you think will end up going to jail or getting a record for GBH?

I would have been after them. Im not a violent person at all usually but this sort of thing really p*sses me off. Good thing you got it back with only a drilled ingition switch, Iv seen and heard of a lot worse.

My advise is invest in a disc lock (which I cant do 'cos iv only got drums) and a sodding big chain! Iv never been unfortunate enough to have my bike nicked personally, but I am still worried about it, especially as my steering lock is dead Sad

You can get a shackle, which is basically just like a huge U-lock which you should be able to put through your wheel. Just make sure not to get one of the biro-openable ones.

I'd also check your insurance too, as some policies don't cover the bike for theft if it's within a certain distance from your property, as they deem it to be your responsibility to keep it safe.

I know mine's not insured for theft if it's on the drive. Fine if its locked in the garage, but not if its just standing there, even if I'm in the house for a matter of seconds!

One policy when I called round to get quotes was anywhere within half a mile of my house. And my local petrol station is only 200 yards up the road! I asked what would happen if some thieving scum decided to pick my bike off the forecourt in a van while I was paying for petrol. And they said I'd lose my bike! Shocked

So I didn't take out insurance with them. Laughing

But worth checking as you won't be able to claim if it happens again.

If he bought his bike new, then his insurance will be through bavanar I believe. I'd assume you got fully comprehensive? As it was quite cheap at the price they were doing it for and it had great extras such as up to 4 named riders and stuff. It £350 or £400 for fully comp on that machine

I don't want to claim on the insurance because I will loose my NCB so that will be more money lost then just paying for it to be fixed. Also as I'll be moving up to a bigger bike after my test (when I get round to doing it) I don't want the insurance on the next bike going up in price.

I was not given an option of one years free or paid insurance with Bavanar when I bought it so I had to go with MCE so i have TPFT with them.

I shall be getting the damage assessed on wednesday and then I'll have to wait till the parts get to the garage from Bavanar, so more bus trips to work for me now Sad
