I find that around 10 I'll either throw up or piss the bed, so 11 and I'd definitely be over the limit

How long's a piece of string.

Will largely depend on other factors such as what you've eaten, how quickly it's consumed, etc.

Personally I see no issues with driving after 1-2 pints providing that I feel fine. However they're usually consumed over 3-4 hours.

Serious comment:

Best advice is none at all

Quote:
The safest option is not to drink any alcohol if you plan to drive. There’s no foolproof way of knowing how much you can drink and then still drive safely. Even a small amount of alcohol can affect your ability to drive.
What’s the legal limit?

In the UK, the legal alcohol limit for drivers is:

80 milligrams of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of blood in your body
35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath
107 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of urine

But it all depends on the person and how quick they are drinking, what they are drinking etc.

You should be safe with 1 pint every 2 hours (waiting the 2 hours before driving after the last one that is)

For a slight moment I thought it might be a serious question. Wink

The real question is not "how much can I drink?" more "how much of a risk am I willing to take?"

Different for each person. If you want to be under the limit, its best not to drink at all, only way you can be sure.

You need to have 10 pints and then post about it on facebook to show just how hard you are.

It depends how important your licence is to you. If you need it then 1 or better still none.

Hi

Slightly serious answer, the old rule of thumb was 2 pints of beer for a bloke was just under the drink drive limit, ie, roughly 3.5 units of alcohol. Limit was about 4. But beer has got stronger over the years (with some really strong beers, half a pint could be 3.5 units), and it is also going to vary greatly on the size / weight of the person.

All the best

Keith

If I'm eating and waiting a while after I'll have 2 if not 1.

I'm pretty sure I would be just as safe up to 4 pints down.

It's possible I'd be even safer, as after I've had anything I'm aware I've had some booze and think, don't prat around.

I wouldn't do it though, simply not worth the risk.

I go for a bottle of bud or becks but no more. Not worth my licence.

Most I've had is a pint and felt positively not safe to drive so I avoid now, I am a complete fanny though.
