Just wandering around thief-bay when I came across this.
Are`nt pulse supposed to be one of the better makers coming out of China?

Looks interesting?

Same as most Chinese bikes, looks good & has a cheap price... but a bad quality and unreliable bike due to shitty quality control and cheap materials used.

Would never buy one, as they're cheap for a reason.

Have you ever owned or have any experience of a chinese bike hondaaz?

We run 6 pulse mopeds at work, zero problems.

A couple of WK650 are competing and have won races this year. They failed to complete at the IOM but not a real quality issue.

Good luck to Lexmoto I say, I wont be long before the quality is there.

Couldn't you just buy a clapped out Japanese bike and pay to have it restored for less money than what they're asking for that thing?

pulse, lexmot and zontes seem like the reliable chinese bikes. I own a zontes and am pleased Smile

best thing to do, if you do buy, make sure you get a warranty with it and make sure the dealer will carry it out! Since it has only been bought out there may be a few faults which will only be found when people buy and try them so in effect you are the guini pig! lol but dont let that put you off!

Pulse is a Lexmoto brand. No idea why they have two brands. That means that parts support will be good and that they'll have chosen it to minimise their warranty costs.

MCN really liked the Adrenaline 125, but that doesn't mean that the 250 is even made by the same people. Lexmoto (I'll say it thrice to summon them - LEXMOTO) will doubtless have the backstory if you want to ask them.

Stainless downpipe is a good sign. I'd expect low 20's bhp out of it though, maybe a real 80mph on the flat or an indicated 120. Wink

Approach with caution, but it might not be a crazy gamble.

As far as i was aware Pulse are also linked to Sinnis, who make the Apache 125, which is the same as the Adrenaline 125, but of better build quality (still with me?) my neighbour had the Pulse for a while till gradually the plastics fell apart.

Eventually got rid and got the Sinnis, and just by looking at it, you can tell the plastics are more flexible, they've got a comforting 'bounciness' that lets me think they should stand up to more in a bump, should you have one.

Not sure if they've brought the Sinnis 250 to the UK yet but it shouldn't cost much more than the Pulse when it gets here Thumbs Up

Biggest problem with all Chinky bikes is the roulette random quality control, if they could sort that out they'd wipe out the Japs the same way the Japs wiped out the Brits. Can't get my head around why none of the Comrades haven't thought of this, the PRC policy of pedaling cheap shit is ultimately dead end, as their standards of living and wages grow sooner or later they'll lose the cheap shit market to other emerging economies. Anyone else old enough to remember when 'made on Hong Kong' was a qc joke that got replaced with the 'made in Taiwan' joke?

Personally I would rather buy an older Japanese bike for the same if not less money. I know a number of people on here have Chinese bikes that have been brilliant, but there are also a lot of people who haven't had such good experiences.

Looks to be heavy and while £2k isn't a massive price, I'd be waiting until they're £700 or less maybe.

Even nwe, I doubt it'll be better than a £700 second hand Japanese bike.

2 of my riding buddies, one being my best friend, own chinese motorcycles and i've seen them practically fall apart infront of me.. the first day my best friend got his brand new bike it broke down. So yes, i have experienced a chinese bike as i ride with one on almost a daily basis and help fix it when it brakes all the time. Smile

I owned a pulse 125, and it wasn't bad. Topped out around 55, but it wasn't too slow to get there. Wiring was pretty shonky, and the suspension was hilarious, but then engine, brakes and chassis were generally sound. The exhaust rotted in sod all time flat, but I see they've got a stainless one in the photo, which might be an improvement. Change the stock can, though: the Chinese standard cans are horrendously restrictive, in my experience.

Tbh, I'm faintly tempted by it.

To be honest if I were to gamble about getting a budget bike brand new.. I'd still get one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Puzey-XTR4-300-Super-Moto-Bike-KLX-CLONE-ENGINE-HONDA-FIT-PLASTICS-WHEELS-/161064812929?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2580360181

My little Chinese bike is one of the unheard of brands, ZhenHua Shocked

The engine was just waiting to fail from the moment I got it, the first sign of it doing so I put a new stomp engine into it which is loads better.

The wheel bearings are rubbish so changed them at huge cost of a fiver for all 4 for a decent brand, swing arm bolt was replaced and the chain was replaced with a D.I.D one as all reviews say the Chinese chains are made of chocolate.

I'd also pulled it apart to soak all exposed bits and wiring connections with acf 50 and make sure it was bolted together properly.

I am now happy with it and hopefully next week the weather will turn back to blue skies and I can head off to Europe on it never to be seen again.

The biggest thing I believe is you have got to be aware of what you are buying and be prepared to look into it and sort any problems before they happen, if you have no idea and no interest in looking after it then expect it to fall apart around your ears.

A quick google shows 124kg no-fuel, which is pretty respectable.

I wonder how close to a KLX300 it really is.

Saying that, a 2003 KLX in apparent good nick sold for £1350 recently on ebay - I'd be putting my money that way I think.

I've got the sinnis Apache 125 version. Apparently its the same as the pulse adrenaline and the superbyke (rmr I think). As said, the Sinnis seems to have a nicer finish. Mine has managed a year and is still immaculate including the exhaust! My wifes CBF rusted in places after 2 months so this whole jap v Chinese debate isn't so straightforward now. I'd have a punt on the 250 if I didn't have the 125 already....a bit more top end would be nice. Think I'll wait for a 250 lump going for spares and chuck that in mine!

Through their official website they also do a 300 2t. Did a quick search on youtube and looks very tasty indeed Thumbs Up

TM300 motor from a you tube video. Hand welded frame in SA.

Price is listed as 1.7x the 4 stroke.

Compared to what you get second hand for £3400, I think I'd stick to the European makes; less weight and by the sounds of it, a bit better suspension.

Interesting, still.
