yep that would be a kid in shorts on the back Shocked

the road was proper slippery aswell

i personally don't care if i see a rider wearing shorts as they are old enough to make the decision, but not a kid

Saw this yesterday as well, with one small difference.

They were on a GSXR1000 Shocked kid couldn't have been older than 9, 10?

Does it effect you in any way?

If the answer is no then why are you even posting.

If the answer is yes why are you getting a boner on over a kid in shorts

I always feel it gives us (bikers) a bad name. If something happened and the kid was hurt, people would think even worse of us than they already do.

I think it's disgusting.

like i say, im guessing it was his dad riding the scooter, he had full gear on - which he chooses to wear, but then sticks the kid in school uniform with just a lid on, was pissing down too

If it was his mrs on the back i wouldn't care less to be honest, their choice - does seem a bit careless with a little kid on the back though, especially considering the conditions from the looks of the picture though in my opinion.

Monteme0 obviously born a full adult skipping childhood Laughing

If you think that pictures bad you wanna be down here in Naples,
Adults and kids both ride regulary with no helmets on,
You'll see gsxr's speeding along the autostrada two up with no helmets on,
Of course Naples is a exception and its much more law abiding in the North.

Is it strange that my first thought to that was "A wasp to the face would really suck" Laughing they make a big enough bang/splat on a visor at interesting speed.

See if you can follow this conversation Mudcow...

Me: "I'm going to town. I'm taking the bike. You want a lift? Your riding pillion"
Daughter: "Err... OK."
Me:"Do you want to borrow Snowie's leathers?"
Daughter: "Why? You planning on Crashing?"
Me: "No."
Daughter:"Well, no then... I wont need them, will I?"

She was 12 when we had that conversation.

Protective kit is the last line of defense. Wont stop you crashing. Wont even stop you being hurt if you crash. It's only practical use, is that between limits... sort of between, head on into an artic where no amount of kit is likely to save you any hurt, and light tumble, where kit wont do any more than every day street wear would if you tripped on a kerb.... ALL kit can do is reduce, slightly how much hurt you suffer. It ent an invulnarability suit.

Daughter's very valid opinion is based on a) having heard me expound the limits of kits ultimate usefulness often enough b) Trusting me not to ride like a tit with her on the back.

Bit condescending to suggest that we should all 'think of the kids'... and do thier thinking for them... SOME you know can think for themselves... as can some parents.

Meanwhile.... little ironic, Safety-Nazi-Propaganda..... photo apparently showing legally ridden scooter, with legally attired rider and legally attired and seated pillion.... ILLEGALLY taken on a mobile phone from the drivers' seat of a car!

He breaks a taboo.... you break the law. People in glass houses and all that, me-thinks!

Whats the petrol tap doing on the dash-board, anyway?

Go on then, tell me who, apart from stuntmen and the like, actually plan on crashing? Confused

It's just accidents can happen. That car could just pull out from the side of the road, you could just happen to miss spotting that diesel spill because you were watching for that car pulling out, etc., etc.

I just know when taking my kids pillion I treated them as very valuable cargo so made sure they wore the gear 'just in case'. Maybe I'm just paranoid that way! Wink

Have you asked your daughter if she plans getting pregnant? If she says no does that mean she can throw away those condoms?
