Is my bike too small for me?

Whilst i've had it for about 5 years, its only after getting a road bike that has made me question the dimensions of my current mountain bike.

Ive recently raised the saddle height, giving my leg 'proper' extension.

So, after looking at the current saddle height (new height is currently pictured) - am I too big for my current frame or does it look normal?

As an aside, I have my saddle right down when off-roading as I spend so much time out of the saddle and my body position on the downhills would lead to severely bruised knackers.

All told, your steering stem setup looks totally bizarre. It's slammed down against the frame yet is massively extended forwards. Although presumably someone designed it like that.

As Minty says though. If it's comfy. It fits.

I personally think it looks like an utter sod to climb a hill on but without seeing YOU on the bike, it's entirely conjecture. You might be an equally odd shape.

I'm 6'2 and my Giant MTB has an 18" frame. To get the right leg extension I have the seat post about 10mm below the limit mark. On a hybrid or road bike yes the frame size would be too small for me, but most of my riding is off road over rocky and sandy terrain and I fall off a fair bit, so I'm glad to have plenty of frame clearance.

What size is the frame and how tall are you?

Doesnt necessarily look that out of the ordinary, as mentioned a lot of bike fit is on comfort and preference of the user.

You could fit a stem extender to raise the bars.

I did and it made the world of difference to my back/neck.

Check you get the right seem size.
