PostPosted: 22:27 - 22 Nov 2004    Post subject: [FOR SALE] Fully faired GS500 (with pictures) Reply with quote

Im selling my bike which ive had for 18months as im looking to move up to something bigger

The bike is as follows:
1992 GS500e
Parallel German Import
Approx 18000 miles (km trip)
Tax & MOT til July 05
Official Suzuki Fairing
Recent routine service
Fork Seals renewed July 03'

The bike is in superb condition for its age. There is a slight bit of rust where the battery is held but you've got to look for it to see it. Also a little on the collector box and downpipes of exhaust. I doubt the bike has seen winter use (it hasnt with me) due to its condition. There is a tiny tear (less than a cm across) in the seat but ive covered it with a small piece of tape so its not got any bigger and i hardly notice it.

The paintwork is in excellent condition.

The clutch covers show scuffing (before i bought it and ive never dropped it) however the fairing hides these small cosmetic flaws. Aside from these marks, the engine is immaculate and is probably one of the cleanest examples from a GS500 of this age.

I bought the fairing and had it professionally sprayed so it wasnt on the bike when i got it (hence the marks on the clutch cover). There is a slight mark on the underside of the fairing where i scratched it before i put it on (doh) but this isnt in the line of sight so i didnt bother trying to do anything about it (especially as id just spent over £200 getting it sprayed) The mirrors are also aftermarket and work well (better than the stock ones on the bars)

The bike is pretty much stock and would be ideal for a new rider looking for some protection or someone looking for a cheap commuter.

Ive tried listing as much as possible about the bike so that people dont have a wasted journey to see the bike if its not what theyre looking for. A fully faired GS is pretty rare to find especially one in this condition.

Really needs to be seen to be appreciated. Any inspection welcome

£1050

The bike is in Teesside

Further pics can be given if requested
