Got pulled by the po po today for my undersized numberplate on my offroad bike, (we use smaller plates to avoic getting tangled up)

I was given a vehicle defect form which says I need to present my bike to an MOT station with the plate changed within 14 days and send said signed form off to avoid the prosecution (fine)

So are they basically saying aslong as I do the above il avoid the fine? What happens if I get pulled again for same offence, do they keep a record of said non endorceable offences?

Meh, turn up full sized plate, they stamp it. Done.

Get home, swap plate and forget about it. Laughing

do as paddy says, some mot places charge to stamp the form, some don't.

I've bought a bendy plate via ebay for my bike so it doesn't snag in the undergrowth.

Phone a few places, decent ones will say bugger all, just pop down. The worst will want a full mot fee.

If you are within reach of Bristol pm me and i'll point you in the right direction.

Few quid if you don't know them well enough, probably £5 or whatever.

Mine just came out, looked and went "you won't have it long anyway" ...stamp. Laughing

Replace it? I'd just stick it on top with double sided tape or blu-tack or spit... Very Happy

Yes, simple as that. Take it to the MOT station with the standard plate fitted, they stamp your form, you send it off, it's finished with.

If you get stopped again for the same thing, and the cop who stops you digs very hard into their databases, they will find the previous VDRS.

But the chances are they will just issue you another VDRS.

Get a photocopy of the stamped form. If posting it send it first class from a post office and ask for free proof of postage. Wink
