Just picked up a Monster 900 from the ferry terminal and it is a tad on the loud side Laughing

Anyone recognise these end cans? They aren't the usual Termis or Sils as far as I know.

Should be branded danmoto near the hole if it is.

might be worth asking on the UKMOC site, if your not already registered on it, as there is a wealth of monster knowledge, I would hazard a guess that they are made by a smaller uk engineering company like pj engineering or such like many have poped up on ebay, in recent years, as they don't look like a main manufacture aftermarket can.

As long as they make a good noise that's all that matters,

Get her the remus performance exhausts to make up for it. Mine have a similarly thunderous sound. I have to take it to the CT (Luxembourg MOT) and there's a noise test. I expect to be thoroughly screwed...

I asked there - someone thought they looked like Sil carbons and another thought they might be BOS but there's no manufacturers' mark anywhere to be seen. Having spent a couple of days looking on Google and the like, I think you're right. They're similar to some of the PJ offerings - it would have been nice to have identified them but hey ho. Mr. Green

I did think they might be track cans as they're straight through and have no obvious mechanism for fitting a baffle/dB killer. I might have to rectify that for MOT purposes though...

Good noise? My OH can hear me on the main road which is a couple of miles away as the crow flies. They're loud, thunderous and definitely grin invoking. Laughing

If you want it quieter, a repack does wonders if it's ready for one.

Baffles only require a hole drilling on the bottom of the exhaust lip, easy to do (I had to do this for my track RSV, 107dB static Shocked) See here

They don't look too bad inside TBH - I suspect they're fairly new.

It's not that I want it quieter, it's just that I live in a rural area with a virtually non-existent crime rate leaving the local plod with plenty of time to take interest in such things. I might run it past the local friendly MOT bod and get his opinion before I do much else though. Thumbs Up

I was looking at those baffles and these ones too. I suspect they're all much of a muchness.
