The company is Motorcycle Direct, they gave me 10 days and despite ringing my old company twice I still have not received the NCB so I am un-able to send it/E-mail it to the new company.

I have not heard from the Motorcycle Direct at all since taking out the policy..

So gurus of BCF, what is likely to happen?

There's every chance that your insurance will be rendered invalid, and you'll lose the money. Call your current insurers, tell them what's happening, see if they can get hold of the proof themselves. Don't let this one slide.

What he said ^

With the addition that should they refuse to help and you're unable to find proof of your NCB, it may well work out best to cancel the policy for a full refund.

Although with the cheap-sounding name of 'Motorcycle Direct', I full well expect them to try and stick you with an administration charge, bill you for the few days that you've used and add on the IPT. Depending on how much of a scummy company it is, that could cost like £40-100.

This. I have been told in the past that if I inform new insurers of the old insurers details (policy number), they can square it up over the phone without the need for paper.

Did you not get the renewal letter from you last ins co. This can often be used as proof of NCB.

Cheers guys, as recommend I've been straight on the phone to the ins..

1st call, waited for ten minutes, get told everyone is busy and they can give me a call back.. then the twa-- guy on the phone tells me to call another number.. I do

2nd call, waited for the right department.. same thing, we're too busy, take your number and call back later...

I was with Just Motorcycle Ins and they did send me a quote for a renewal in the post, will this work?

Now I think about it, I should of just stuck with Just Fuckcycle Insurance...

I've got a feeling I'm in for a whole world of shit in the up-coming month.

They can look on the cue database and often do for any claims in your name. Although this doesn't prove you having insurance for the last 2 years.

If you have a renewal letter then that will probably be sufficient.
