I'm going to buy a new BMW & riding gear.
Although I'm ready to go ahead I'm in no rush.
Are there likely to be offers worth waiting for at the end of the summer?

there probably will be to shift stock ect. you could also look at getting something pre reg ? or a new model from last year for a bit cheaper

BMWs are selling relatively well at the moment, so I wouldn't rely on scoring a deal. A Ewan-and-Charlie suit should be do-able though. Wink

What model are you after?

I'm interested in the F700GS or maybe even the F800GS.
I had the 700 for a day on a "back to biking" course.

A man of wealth and taste. Thumbs Up

I'm loving my used F650GS so far, I'd prefer it over the F800GS as a road bike even at the same price, let alone £1K less.

I'd suggest that you'll get the most value by asking for gadgets and add-ons to be thrown in at a more sensible price.

Got an email from Hein Gericke this week - summer sale stuff. Could be worth a look at their website for textile gear.
Unless I miss read that and you meant that you're going for BMW gear as well, in which case, ignore me.

I looked at the sale stuff and it doesn't cover what I need.
Mostly bits and pieces.

I dont always believe that bikes fetch higher prices in the summer.

Most people wait to sell them in the summer due to this so there are loads to choose from. However when they are sold in the winter the person buying it really does either need one or really badly wants one so will pay whatever its worth no matter what the weather.

When I sold cars I never got the line ''I need a discount cos its raining gov'' for convertibles so prob wouldnt get that for bikes.

Do as they said and wait for the new plates to be registered or just play the waiting game with the dealer and dont budge Thumbs Up
