Well.. given that you were going for an exit past 12 o'clock.. you were kind of in the wrong lane. From what I can see, anyway.

Sorry to see though, and wish you well if any injuries.

Personally I would have been slowing down when I saw the indicators and suggestion of movement from the silver car, you were still accelerating and not riding defensively, also swapping lanes.

This said.. At the point of impact it looks like you were ahead of the car from what I can see and usually the car behind is at fault...

Just my 2p. Hope your OK and you get the insurance result you want.

Yes, he was.. which suggests either he or you were in the wrong lane!

From your undertake of the silver car previous to the accident, it doesn't bode well for your positioning on that.

Either way, he did hit you which is never good!

Definitely 2. The third didn't seem to be illuminated.

I'd be deleting that video evidence if I was you as it won't do you any favours if it falls into the wrong hands.

14 seconds, 19 seconds and 22 seconds. You crossed the white 'stop' line while there was no green light showing.

I'd take that video down pretty sharpish my old mucker. And I'll edit my posts to suit after Thumbs Up

Are these yellow bits where the lane decision has to be made?

https://i44.tinypic.com/116m0yg.jpg

So should really have gone straight into the right hand lane on the roundabout rather than trying to undertake to get ahead.

//edit:
Having said that, from this view:
https://goo.gl/maps/ccBhy

That middle lane is for going round to the next exit, so OP was in the right lane.

Yes, it was the 22 seconds I couldn't quite see clearly on my screen at work but I'm sure it was there Laughing

If the car was in the inside lane then changed to take an exit and knocked u off then it's his fault clear as day. He definately didn't get Infront of you as we saw from the footage so he's clearly not seen u whizzing round the outside.

Must read the thread first - spent a good five minutes finding where it was myself.

This seems to be the path he took:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18968307/a3oopsie.jpg
From the road markings the OP seems to be just in the right lane, but as he was also almost in the other lane, it's not entirely surprising a car may have thought he was turning off.
Video may not do him that many favours.

IMO the road markings show you were in the correct lane. Car that hit you wasn't in the right lane.

I would have been riding differently around there if it was me though.

Yeah you were just about in the correct lane, but then undertook rather than throttling off, went through numerous red lights, and was travelling quicker than you should have been. No wonder the car driver didn't see you, you would have not been there one second and then there the next.

The best you can hope for is a 50/50 IMO.

Better obs, more appropriate speed, and assuming you are invisible when out on the bike might decrease your chances of getting twatted off.

Looking at what G has put up, and from the video it seems as if you were in the right lane, but your riding perhaps wasn't the best. Seems like you were more interested in getting to where you were going as opposed to where others are going and what they are doing.

Not 100% the other guys fault, some fault does fall on you, but not that much, usual poor obs. On a roundabout like that I never pass people for this exact reason.

From what I can see it seems you drifted out of and then back into your lane. And you're sure it isn't any of your blame? Seriously I'd have had a good look at this video before blaming others. What I will say is that the actions of the car driver can't be seen, but he'd have had to do something really really daft to be hit with 100% fault IMO.

Take the vid down.

Just put it down as a racing incident as that is what you appear to be treating the roads as. Your speed and lane changing are a major factor in the incident, The other guy does have a part to play in it, but even if he had taken reasonable observations I doubt the out come would have been much different.

Lmao kinda see where your coming from tho, 75/25 at best I reckon, wouldn't be surprised to see a 60/40, is he not admitting liability then for knocking you off?

It's a straight 50/50 insurance claim...

...unless you want to use the video evidence in which case it would show the driver to be more at fault for the actual collision but it clearly shows you riding through red lights, so I suspect the insurance company would refuse to pay out.

The lane markings also don't look to be very good from the picture.

While the lane the OP was in is marked with 'London' too, the edges of the lane keep it going towards the south west A30.
While the lane the driver was in seems to head over to the far left from the dotted lines.

50/50 or sue the council?
