Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone knows where the best place is to locate an alarm and a small tracker on this moped? I have put the tracker temporarily in the glove box but this means I have to charge it every day and that's a pain, so ideally, the location should be near a permanent positive wire/cable that I can splice into for the tracker to charge itself throughout the day. Similarly, My alarm currently works off a small battery and I would like to connect this also to the bikes battery, this will improve the loudness of the alarm and save me a small fortune in batteries!
My bike was not bought from new, so I don't have any warrantee to worry about losing Smile.
I have fitted alarms and trackers to cars in the past, but on a little moped, it is so much more difficult to locate them as there is very little space for anything extra under the body work!
I have to stress that I am completely new to mopeds or bikes of any kind, so please be patient enough to explain exactly where you mean in fool proof terms as I will probably have no idea what you mean if you use abbreviations or bike only related tech terms.

Hi, yes they are both already set up for a car or motorbike 12v battery. Just a red and black cable.
I was hoping to avoid using that space under the seat as I wanted it hidden under a part of the body but exposed to the outside (if you know what I mean). I tried the alarm in the glove box and in the underseat helmet box and when they are closed it really affects the sound of the alarm. I tested it with my iphone and it almost halves the decibels!
Am I just going to have to take the power straight from the battery? I suppose it's the best way!

Put it into the headlamp/ instrument cluster

Bear in mind youll have to run a permanent supply to there as everything in there runs off the key switch. If you can use a philips screwdriver just take the front off, and take your permanent supply from the key barrel supply.

Thanks for the ideas, I will certainly have a look at the front, I much prefer to put it all there if it fits anyway.
