Any bike value calculators?

So I'd really like a ninja 300, but you won't get any on biketrader with more than 100 miles on the clock. As it's pretty much a new bike, can you work out natural depreciation for it / mileage depreciation? I ask because I'll hopefully buy one for next summer but have no idea what value I will be looking at, I'm guessing not much difference.

There must be some sort of calculation you can use for motorcycles, especially new ones.

In your first 3 months, minus about 200 a month, then minus 80 a month for the next 6 months. After a year you'll get that price on a 5k bike. Laughing

Buy a used example that has taken the hit.

I don't think there is a calculator that does what you want, but I can estimate that in a year bikes that are worth 4k now, will only be worth marginally less at like 3.5k.

Just ask whatever you like and if no one comes and you still want to sell it, then drop a pound or two. It's about people and some buyers are quite stupid and will pay everything.

Edit: Sorry for my lazy reading, but still, offer the money you want to spend and go up if you're still desperate enough to buy one. Thumbs Up

If there was a way of doing it accurately, someone would be able to make money off of it, and they wouldn't tell you how they do it.

You can't really tell until next summer.
It depends on a lot of factors.
Weather being one obvious one - if it's miserable, bike prices may well be lower.
During a sustained hot period, a lot of people are seeing other bikes go past in the Sunny weather and thinking "yea, I want a piece of that".

Also, hopefully you'll see sense by then and choose a more sensible bike Smile

Because it's a very expensive low spec bike.
It may be cheap to run in fuel, but depreciation per mile is likely to be pretty high.

I'm sure there are plenty of bikes that do the same job that can be got for £1k and less.
They will also cost less to insure, you'll be less paranoid about scratches and quite possibly have more fun riding them.
