Just got an nsr125r which oil is best fully synthetic or semi synthetic and is there any preference on make ie castrol

I take it you mean 2 stroke oil?

Fully synthetic is better, I used Castrol TTS when I had a stroker.

Gear Oil - Any light gear oil most bike garages sell it on the shelf.

Engine Oil (Stroke 2) - As above TTS is good. Just make sure its synthetic and you will be fine!

Just to add, Castrol TTS has been rebranded as Castrol Power 1 Racing 2T.
