Went to Crown & Anchor Dell Quay (Chichester)

Couple of years ago when I went, it looked like this

Today the tide was out

Wasn't quite the same with tide out. Plus 45min wait for food. So went to Goring By Sea. Never been, heard it was nice.
It was

Sea Lane Cafe is right on the beach. Inside was nice, service was fast, food was nicely priced and good. Not bad for £4. And the staff were really nice.

Day off work today to go for one last hoon with a mate from work. He's selling his CBF..... Can't believe it was over two years ago we got them.

So we took the bikes from Guildford to Highcliffe on Sea, via A272 and New Forest. Over 200 miles today.

Soooo much traffic about, got in the way in places. But got lucky in others. Good day.

Took the beast on a 225 mile bimble.......spent a lot of it at 9,000rpm, lots of hills, not sure it appreciated the thrashing.

Guildford to Loomies via A281 and A272. On to New Forest and then Christchurch.

Went to Cambridgeshire ...and what a boring route I took. The A52 from Leek and A1 were very dull. However, the B1095 and surrounding B roads were a hoot. They had those uneven road warning signs on dead straight roads. Note to self: You won't get away with those antics every time (or at the very least learn how to control an airborne vehicle)....Totally loved it tho. Embarassed

Today I went to Oulton Park to watch the British Superbikes. the ride there was good and there was a decent crowd.

Carvel, was the New Forest still busy? Been twice in last 2 weeks and found not all the kids go back to school at the same time, spent most of my time on the wrong side of the road.
Was thinking of going back Sunday, but might leave it another couple of weeks.

How many miles can you do on that seat? Looks piles inducing thin.

Nice pics Smile

Thanks.

It was completely dead when I was there. Spent ages stood in the middle of the road taking pictures. But I was there in the evening because I had a late crossing so I cant speak for what its like during the day. Nice scenery but its difficult to make progress due to fear of losing a fight with a horse or a cow or something.

The seat is ok if you're having a play but I did 80 miles of motorway yesterday and my arse wasn't impressed.

Really like the shot up the road into the sun, one of those photo's that really captures the moment.

Reason I asked about the seat was the CBR600 is in my first big bike fantasy league. That and a Street Triple, both were lower insurance costs than a Hornet, even though they are higher insurance groups Smile
Was also looking at the GSX650F, the price and comfort look right, but on paper it's a bit lardy.

I was riding in a fairly spirited (it's a 125) fashion, the local wildlife just doesn't care. The ponies are very calm amongst traffic, the cows appear to be off their tits on smack and weed, damn things wobble into the middle of the road and just sit down, they just don't give a shit.

That being said, the baby animals are dangerous as they will just bolt for it, particularly if their parents have gone in front. I arrived at a scene out of Reservoir Dogs involving a camper van and a foal, wasn't pleasant.

These roads were pretty sweet, particularly the "Drive" ones.
Also meant not having to deal with the bottleneck that is Lyndhurst.

Blackhill Road
Furzley Lane
Forest Road
Bolderwood Arboretum Ornamental Drive
Rhinefield Ornamental Drive

Really tempted to go back tomorrow now Smile

There are some awesome roads in the forest if you know where to look. It does get rammed with caravans at the weekend though. We should meet up next time you're in my neck of the woods (ba dum tish!) if I'm actually around and have spare time*! Smile

*I'm getting married in a week...free time and money is not something I've had in abundance for a little while. But things should be back to normal in a couple of weeks when we get back from honeymoon. Mr. Green

I took roughly 4 million pictures, got carried away as I had time to kill.

The Cbr would make a decent first big bike. Docile enough at low revs and user friendly but still seriously quick when used properly. If you're prepared to keep it sensible then you cant go far wrong. The standard F model would probably suit you better as it has a proper seat Lol.

The New Forest is a nice place. I'm up for a South East rideout down that way sometime if anyone fancies it.

I did lol at the cows, they dont give a fuck. The cbr isnt exactly quiet, I thought they'd be a bit more aware of it's presence.
