Hi everyone

I am about to move into a cabin in a field, in very wet Devon, Uk!

I have just got my Honda Shadow 750 and would like it look after it as well as I can.

So ideally I will drive into the field and then park the bike up somewhere close to the cabin.

Im wondering will a cover be any good, or will it just be really damp? Or I was thinking possibly one of those little gazebos. And do you think I need to keep it off the grass, by driving it onto something, or not?

Any info would be great

Cheers

I have a shadow and live in the middle of the country, I keep it under a bike barn on paving slabs. Aberdeenshire is always bloody wet so the bike tends to always look a bit muddy and occasionally I actually clean it

I don't see being on a field being particularly different to on a driveway - if there was an issue with moisture from the ground, you could easily lay down a plastic sheet.

How much flexibility do you have with it?
It would be easy and not cost much to build a smalll shed, maybe a lean-to.

Do you need to consider security too?

My first thought too - dead easy, dead cheap.

Best to get a decent cover over Winter.
Watch out for mice - they're attracted to the warmth and sometimes nest in the air filter. Squirrels too I believe.

they can also chew wiring to bits

8x4 plywood sheets, make a decent box/ crate with a tarp over the top or roll of mineral fibre .
