Hi am new to BCF I'm 15 and have 2 kmx 125 feild bikes and was wondering what barrels I could fit to them to get more power apart from the obvious kmx 200cc barrel which I would fit if I could Find one.
So are there any other barrels that would fit them. Thanks

I really like the bike though it one of the best trail bikes I have drove as I buy and sell motorbikes. So would much rather just have more power than buy a new bike as 1 kmx cost me £50 and the other £70.

Yup, 15, buys and sells bikes... yup seems legit.

But no, just buy the biggest stolen bike you can. something like a WR450 or whatever, enjoy it.

It's a hobby and its better than standing around a cold high street getting steaming. I like my classic trail bikes and the kmx is one of the best I've drove so I would rather not sell it

Although a few sick people probably "ride" cows...

I would say though, you love the bikes cause of how they feel to ride etc, you could ruin all that by messing about trying to up the power output. Bikes are designed and built to give the best all round feel on the whole, could be worth just buying a bigger one on top of your two...

No other barrels fit straight on.

I just sold a 200cc barrel as it happens.

Other mods are:

different air-filter (Twin air)
different exhaust (Gianelli is supposed to be the best for the 125)
different reed block (V-Force or Boyesen Rad Valve)
larger carb (Mikuni TM 28, Mikuni TMX30, Kehin PWK35 etc)

Then:
Cylinder porting (BDK race engineering, Mick Abbey, etc)

Thanks for the reply. Would I have to rejet it with these mods as I have heard that you do need to rejet otherwise you could seize the engine and that would not be good for me as I'm in the prosses of a full rebuild top and bottom
Thanks

Have you ridden a proper enduro bike?

Much better on trails to my mind.

If you've got to ride an hour on the road to get to the trails, not so good; but I would presume you're not doing that at 15.

I just like the look trail bikes have and you presumed Right haha I have to push my bike a mile there ( downhill abit not hard) and a mile up hill ( hard )every day to get out on my bike hence why I have a kmx's as they are really light and most enduros weight a lot more

But you don't like the look of enduro bikes, which look about the same?

Most enduro bikes weigh less, not more.
The 4 stroke 650cc open class husaberg was listed as just less than a KMX. All the 2 stroke KTMs I've had are much less, including the 87 350 which cost me £350 with some spares.

They also have a lot more power everywhere.

I was on about bikes like the kdx I'm pretty sure they are heavier I don't want to change my bike mostly because I like it and I do 40-50 miles a day and my bike only does like 45milesvto the gallon and that's £8 a day and im out every day so I can't afford a bike that's thirstier than that.

The KDX125 isn't really an enduro bike, it's just slightly more focused than a KMX.

It's listed as a bit lighter.

That should be more like £7, buy yes.

I suspect if you rode the enduro bikes the speed of the KMX they would do much better fuel economy than they normally do.

I expect if you tune up the KMX it will do worse economy than it does now.

I'm impressed you get to ride 40-50 miles. Where do you ride? Is it legal?

I live in invergordon in the highlands there's quite a large farm and the farmer has a grandson my age who has bikes and there is a track 0.8 miles long part of it goes through woods. there are loads of huge feilds also which doesn't end well if you have piston slap and the piston smashes while the shit spreader is in the same feild (long push through shite) Thumbs Down

Nice.

I hadn't seen that you paid £50 and £70 for the bikes, so presumably have stolen bikes?

If they were legitimate bikes you could get one sorted for the road and sell for a good bit more, giving you the money to buy a proper dirt bike.

Be aware that it's quite possible the police may find you have them and take them along with any modifications you have made.

I pretty sure 1 is not stolen and the documents were lost but the other 1 could may well be. I know the police can take the bike but were I live i never get any bother from them providing you don't drive on the road

That being the case, apply for the documents and you can make a very tidy profit.
Incredibly unlikely that someone who knew anything about bikes o had heard of ebay would sell a legitimate bike for £70 or £50. Easily go for £200 on ebay with a bad listing and no details.

Sadly at some point I suspect you'll find out what it's like to have the stuff you have worked hard for many months to buy taken from you by someone that wanted to buy some booze.
Then hopefully you'll realise why others are unimpressed at you supporting them.

Both bikes were owned by complete idiots 1 guy was sraying deodorant into the air box to get it going and I just took it home relised the choke inside the carb was jammed open so I put my hand over the inlet to act as choke and I fired second kick but stunk of deodorant and the other one the piston smashed and jammed the crank so just rebuilt it.

Sounds likely - but of course it doesn't sound likely that either actually owned them to me.

Do they have intact and original frame numbers on both?

Yea they both have intact frame numbers but I still wouldn't risk sending off for the documents i will strip one down to a bare frame then send off for the documents so if it is stolen all that they will get Is the frame and then ill buy another frame with v5 though
