Hello people say the standard silencer of the SRX (same engine as XT) is awful yet I've not found a silencer to match it, I find all other cans to not have enough volume at high revs.

I went back to standard yet again after my last attempt (long link pipe and an unbaffled harris can) left me with 75mph top speed :S. I have a feeling people are going to tell me that I must upjet and I appreciate that, could people tell me an ideal combo i.e silencer and main jet/needle position? regards

Mine had a predator exhaust but still wasn't loud. I think that due to their timing and dual port design that they're just not very loud especially at high revs.

I have an XT with an Arrow can. It's the only can I've ever felt the need to put the baffle back in - it sounded like an artillery barrage without it.

Which was kind of embarrassing as people would turn around and stare at the noisy bike without the power to pull the skin off a rice pudding.

Anyway, I didn't need to rejet either.

Did the predator hold it back at all? My friend has the predator, his 400 tops out at 80 :S I checked his diaphragm its all good, and no misfires etc I was sure it was that little exhaust.

The original has a huge expansion box surely taking that away can't do it any favours. And if the ARROW exhaust hasnt affected your top speed at all, might be a likely candidate.
