Hi again,
I have yet another question (sorry!).
I want to install a top-box (or rear luggage box) to the rear of my bike. I have found lots of cheap(ish) boxes on ebay and all over the internet, but as far as I can make out, they all need a luggage rack to connect to bike. As the Zip doesn't come with a luggage rack, I have been looking for one, but all I can find are rather expensive boxes that come with their own luggage racks and fixing kits.
I don't want anything expensive, even a second hand one would do just fine, but I cannot find any info anywhere on the net relating to my bike and a rack!
Can anyone recommend an online shop or a make and model of rack that will fit my Piaggio Zip 50 2t (2012)?
Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated and if someone can point me in the right direction for finding a (cheap) luggage rack, that would be fantastic!
By the way, I have found some 51 Litre Boxes on ebay for around £40, which are supposed to fit 2 helmets in. They also have a 28 Litre box which is 20 cm narrower and just under a tenner cheaper, so as I would be using the box to carry shopping etc, the bigger the better? Does anyone not recommend getting the big box which is 60cm wide? If so, why?
Thank you all again for taking the time to read my rookie posts, this forum is great, a great bunch of people and great community atmosphere!
Cheers! Very Happy

After i realised the luggage rack cost 1/20th my scoots initial cost, i bought a nice "commuters pack" for my luggage/helmet etc.

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to answer...
Is that like a rucksack or something that you connect to the bike? Any links please? Smile

Its a gym bag, tube type that can be fastened with a long bungy cord to that space between your bottom and the brakelight. Just dont bungy over the fuel line.

OK, very interesting.
Thanks for that, you've definitely given me a good alternative.
Thanks again.
