Time for me to get this all posted since l finished the trip over a week ago. I'm currently living in a lovely small farming town called Vonda in Saskatchewan with a very special Canadian girl l met on the trip but more on that later....

Ontario

Ontario was one of the harder provinces that we travelled through, this was due to the large amounts of rain and flooding that had occurred before we arrived, which had turned sections of the trail into a muddy bog.

We also met even more wonderful Canadians who invited us into to there homes to stay. Though it was also where I had my first and only run in with the law on the trip after being stopped for riding my bike across the highway from a coffee shop to the gas station opposite with no crash helmet on. Lucky for me the small town OPP officer who had a word with me allowed me to carry on with just a bollocking which went like this "Your in Canada now buddy, I don't know the law in Great Britain but here we wear crash helmets on motorcycles"

Saskatchewan

Both Manitoba and Saskatchewan were part of the Canadian prairies, flat open grass lands mainly used for farming with very small populations in fact the whole province of Saskatchewan only has a population of 1 million and that is mostly spread across a few cities. Most of our route for this province followed along and though farmers fields and gravel grid trails which at times were heavily over grown or had been covered by crops.

Vonda, Saskatchewan

A few days after leaving the city of Prince Albert and heading south we entered a small town call Vonda, this was marked up as a fuel stop on our maps so the plan was to fuel up then head further south to find somewhere to camp. By chance as we were fuelling up our bikes at the co-op petrol station in town a local farmer call Guy pulled in with his truck and noticed our loaded up bikes along with my yellow British numberplate.

After chatting to him for a bit about our trip he as with many other Canadians we had met on the road invited us back to his place to stay which turned out to be a arable farm outside of the town. Where we would end up having a BBQ and staying for the night. It turned out Guy had also done quite a bit of motorcycling travelling when he was younger and had a impressive collection of classic cars and Harley's in his barns. It wasn't till later that evening l met his youngest daughter who had came back from working in Saskatoon city as a nurse. And to cut the story short me and her got along so well that night that almost a month later after the trip was completed l returned to Vonda and we are now living together as a couple.
