After push biking in and arround the surrounding countryside of Amsterdam yesterday, it got me thinking that I could take the bike there and camp near a windmill amongst some tulips...or wherever one can camp round there!

Maybe I would start off in France and go through Belgium..maybe popping into Germany and having a on the autobahn at some point...

Sound like a plan? The only thing is that the digital speedo on my bike does not measure in kmh. Could I change this?

Well don't know much about them bikes but normally with a digital speedo you can change the settin through buttons.

Found this for you, not sure if they have similar dash but worth posting and trying https://korider.com/index.php?topic=13704.0

Or just write the conversion on a bit of paper - you soon get used to it anyway.

Thanks for that Very Happy would give karma but my phone won't let me do ratings.

And I am ok with converting mph to kmh, but isn't it a legal requirement to have a Speedo which uses the correct system for the area?

The chances of this being an issue for you, on the road, on the continent, must be less than one in a million.

The only way it could possibly get you in any trouble whatsoever is an addendum on a laundry list of other more serious crimes.

And if it's the principle of legality, I suppose next thing you'll be telling me you've never exceeded any speed limit ever? That's got a far higher chance of screwing you over. E.g. one guy I knew (Svengalie, RIP) got 3 points for doing 31 in a 30 zone.

Autobahns suck on a motorbike.

Holland and Belgium suck on a motorcycle. Especially Holland.

Take the train, stay drunk.

Camp Zeeburg is supposed to be good for the money. A friend of mine who recently passed on used to camp there all the time. Not particularly far from Amsterdam Station / central.

dont worry about changing your mph to kph, load of bollocks, just ride sensibly, they are not interested in foreign bikers or hassling them,
You'll only be in contact with the Police if you need them or bring yourself to their attention.

Not sure about the hyo, but on my R6 and ZX6r, just hold down "mode" and it'll change from MPH to KPH

Pretty common on most bikes, my K2 gsxr won't do it though.

Well tom 720 found a really good link to the main Hyosung forum. I must try it when I get home! And I am very unlikely to get attention from the police
Embarassed

When cycling arround Holland, I couldn't work outsome of the weird road markings and signs, which are different to ones in the UK and Spain and such like, and where the same as what I encountered in Iceland Confused Anyone know a site or book which explains them?
