Hi, i have recently put a bore kit in my ped, and when it pulls away in the high revs it seems to misfire, also, when im flat out it starts to misfire, its only when i hit 10k+ Rpm, below that its fine. It said in my bore kit manual to use a longer threaded spark plug? which i havent done, could this be the solution?
Thanks.

Try it. If you bugger about with timing and things only to find out its a simple plug problem you'll be kicking yourself. Plugs dont cost much, and are a doddle to change, it would be the first thing Id try.

Using a longer or shorter threaded plug in a small engine will significantly alter the compression ratio. Two strokes are a delicate balance of pressures so I would try the longer plug in. This will bump up the compression ratio. Take the plug out after a few miles and 'read' the colour according to the following guide:

Ok, i thought i would post my results, i bought a hotter spark plug (racing spark plug) and now i no longer have misfiring at high revs.
