£19 for a 5" 1150w grinder isn't bad.
My last one lasted me many years - if I'd kept the spare bushes it comes with (and actually knew where it was), it'll probably keep going on for longer too! This is a different model, with variable speed, which may be useful for sanding.
The thin grinder discs are worth a look too - they wear out faster, but give really nice cuts. |

I've had one for a year now. Works ok and comes a long lead fitted which is very handy. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Good value. Only downside might be the weight of the thing. Cheaper ones are often a lot heavier and bulkier than the makita / Bosch pro stuff. No probs for occassional use, but if you're weilding it all day you'll know where you saved money. |

I cut my guard in half to leave it open-faced, so I can fit a flapwheel, haven't had any problems with it coming loose. I also fitted a quick-release nut that you can undo with your fingers, but the stock nut does alright and you can use a pin wrench off a 9" grinder which are much stronger.
I see in the advert they have the handle on the right side. I've never understood why anyone would do that, puts your fingers in the firing line and much more likely to hurt you if you manage to dig in and snatch. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
