Until I get my licence back Crying or Very sad
Or if you will 3,733 hours or 223,995 minutes or 13.4 million seconds

But I'm trying not to think about it!
Reached 12 points on totting up, in my bloody car of all things. So that's life, I know the rules blah blah so not whining about that. But Christ some days it's tough, Lurking on this and other bike forums, staring at your outings pics, I've become the window licking village weirdo sat watching all the bikes go by.
So come the end of January I'll be out, on the stroke of midnight come sleet, snow or ice which it undoubtedly will. Is it too early to sit around in my leathers and helmet waiting for the clock to tick down?

Enjoy your biking folks, Don't get banned....EVER

I have the cleanest bikes in the world, surely that's something.....enjoy
(I'm not bitter) Thumbs Up

That's a long ban! People get shorter bans for getting caught at 120mph.

Thanks, For the record it was 101on a 70, so six points which took me to twelve. No previous etc but never mind it's done now.

I may possibly ride naked for a day or two, apart from my helmet of course! Shifty

Sadly no, these six for doing the ton, plus an earlier 3 for 35 in a 30 and an earlier 3 for coming out of tesco's on my phone!!!! That one's bad i know, but if the bluetooth on my sodding british built car was working like it should I wouldn't be making this excuse! oh and nabbed by an unmarked police biker!! Surely he's not one of us (you)? How can a biker be an unmarked policeman, that's got to be a childhood trauma thing!

But I'm keeping myself busy, today I've got to count the number of link rivets in my chain. Tomorrow I've got to pull up a deck chair and stare at my bike for nine and a half hours. So it's not all bad!

Sorry, something doesn't quite add up there... was the court making an example of you or something? I've never heard of anyone getting a full years ban for 12 points (not saying it can't happen.... just I've never heard of it)

It is/they are, and every time I even begin to think about it I read the notification that states 'riding whist disqualified may result in a prison sentence'

Jeez, one minute I'm tootling along on my way to the bikers cafe for a heart attack breakfast the next I'm in prison washing the undercrackers of my new 'girlfriend' Reg the Knife.

Your'e right I'll probably sit this one out.

No it's not a year fella, it's six months, and that's the law. If you tot up 12 points you're looking at 6 months. You can plead 'extreme hardship' which via a bloody expensive lawyer I did. They said my case was 'extreme inconvenience' not 'hardship' so no let off!

That is it mate, no other story, no previous. It kinda feels harsh but I'm not in a position to whinge so I'm not going to. I don't know, maybe if I was a delivery driver or bus driver or similar they'd of taken a different view, but I've got a job that doesn't necessitate driving and won't lose it because of this so the rest is now history.

I'm virtually one month down now, So only 5 more to go.

Think positively.

One month already down, of the remaining 5 at least 3 of them will be in less than stellar weather conditions.

Licence back just as the spring breaks Smile

Thinking positively is easier said than done though!

Maybe for speeding, but I needed my licence for my job.... [insert pointless excuses here]..... I might have well gone to court and told the magistrates to go fuck themselves as it would have done as much good.

That was almost 2 years ago.... I made a stupid mistake, I paid the price then... I'll still be paying the price for the next 9 years as I can't go back to public transport until the DR10 comes off anyway.

You'll wonder where the time went closer to the end of your ban.... it is just a pisser when you miss out on all the nice weather though

Yes I am thanks, and thankfully I've got a fair bit of travel with my job over the next few months, being away and in sunny climes etc does help.

I'm fairly busy most of the time, but days like today are the worst. So I tell myself none of you are out biking today, kicking tyres and eating bacon sarnies before whizzing off to the next pit stop, no, your'e all doing the lawns, following wives/hubby's/partners around Sainsbury's or painting the guttering. Please tell me you are, and how utterly dull it all is!

Enjoy....be safe Laughing

Wow, that sounds harsh, what's a DR10? 11 years punishment? Did you steal an intercity train or something? Rolling Eyes

That'll be drink driving and being a bus driver. An interesting mix that would make anyone's commute considerably more interesting.

I hate busses. They're always late unless you are, in which case they're early. They stop every 100-200 meters in the busier sections to let people on/off. They're crammed. Then finally there's the high chance of meeting the antisocial arses that haven't yet discovered that music can be played through headphones.

I had to catch 2 busses a day for 6 years for school/college. Can you tell if I enjoyed it or not? Laughing

I expect i'll get the hang of it, actually it's probably miles better than biking, yeh I'm lucky really, I get to walk everywhere, Yeh, thanks magistrate people.... Crying or Very sad

I walk to University every day rather than taking the bike or public transport.

It's pretty much 3 miles a day. I figure it gives a lazy git like me a bit of much needed exercise. It also gives me chance to be productive and study flashcards or something.

The only use my bike sees lately is the weekly trip to ASDA and back. That'll change once various thing stop stealing my weekly pay cheque Laughing

    Hoovered and mopped downstairs

    Cleaned the bathroom

    Hoovered upstairs

    tidied and cleaned my office

Jeez mate, that's tragic. And I thought MY life had hit rock bottom.

I'm sure we can get you a 'here's where your money helps' slot on comic relief or something.

But i know what you mean, I've done the lawns, some ironing and a little cleaning. I'm now starting to look at the vacuum like it's the drink I shouldn't be having and saying things like "no. i don't need you in my life" and "I can beat this"

The oven cleaning? If I just have one little go will it be ok? I'm not going to start dusting or anything with a Simply Red CD on am I?
