Right, the little ibiza I have is on it's last legs and so am looking for something else.

Rough requirements:

Needs to be quick (ish)
Preferably have at least 4 seats
Not overly bothered about mpg, above 25mpg would be nice.
Around the 60k mileage though not essential dependant on car
Not overly old either, preferably >=2005.
Can't be too crazy on insurance as I recently had a booboo.

Some ideas I have had;

Seat leon sport with the 2ltr tfsi engine which reportedly remap to around 240bhp
Mk2 focus ST (though suspect insurance to be stupid)
Mazda 6 MPS
Possibly a 325i though doubt an e90 could be had without mega miles on the clock.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks.

What was wrong with the other thread?

If you don't like Minis just say, or just ignore the post, there's no need to pretend the whole thread doesn't exist.

Wow, calm yourself. I did not intend to create a second thread, I'm on a really poor 3g signal in my new house whilst I wait for sky to activate my line, I can only imagine my repeat attempts to find signal may have caused a repost. I certainly did not rewrite or copy and paste my original thread because I have something against Minis????

Hyundai coupe.

Fuckin great cars for the money. Much bigger than they look. De-badge it and people will think you have a ferrari.

They did a version of their special edition called a TSiii in metallic red with gunmetal wheels and red leather seats which looks fantastic. By all accounts the 2.0 is the one to go for. The V6 is awesome but overegging the pudding in terms of insurance and fuel consumption. The 2.0 is plenty quick enough.

FWD, 141 bhp and 0-60 in 9.3 seconds...

Really? It seems to be as slow as fuck.

OP is suggesting cars with 200+bhp. The mazda has 256 bhp, awd and hits 60 in 6.5 s. They are not even in the same league. Even the 2.7 is underpowered (165 bhp) and slow (0-60 8.3s). They look nice and are cheap, but they aren't exactly high performance.

Hea also stipulated not silly insurance.

The 2.0 is group 20 or 23 (depending on which model you get). The V6 is group 28.

The mazda MPS is group 32.

Actually, from a distance, if you squint, they do look a bit like a 456.
