Feed a spider.

So this guy moved in a few days ago, spun a massive web and hasnt caught anything.
Me being a good guy, knocked out a fly and chucked it into the web.
Theodore bombed across and om nom nom'd it.

Love those beasties. There's one with a massive web full of dead critters in my garage. I'm happy to let him live in peace as long as stays still for my macro lens.

No No No....

"Aphids are soft-bodied, and have a wide variety of insect predators. Aphids also are often infected by bacteria, viruses and fungi. Aphids are affected by the weather, such as precipitation, temperature and wind.
Insects that attack aphids include predatory Coccinellidae (lady bugs or ladybirds), hoverfly larvae (Diptera: Syrphidae), parasitic wasps, aphid midge larvae, "aphid lions" (the larvae of green lacewings), crab spiders and lacewings (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae)."

My feckin' rose bushes get decimated by greenfly 'My Wasp Army' is the best defense.

Very Happy

Parasitic wasps are the type that inject their eggs into a live aphid for their larvae to eat, similar to the Ichneumon wasp.

Big arsed, human stinging wasps are a different family.

I took a spider to Silverstone with me. It actually managed to stay on the mirror the whole way. I was impressed. Fucker didn't contribute to the fuel though.

On the bike which is even more impressive. Pulled up to just see him crawling over the mirror. All bewildered, no doubt. I dropped him off in a nearby bush and said farewell. Bloody hitchhikers eh.

It was assumed earlier, that I would be spitting chips at the sight of the spider nesting in my chain on the garage floor...but they are okay outside in their natural environment...I don't like it when they decide to sit in the bath (when I want to be in there) or come in my room.

Then they have to be evicted.
