Hi guys, been offered a swap for a 2004 FZ6 naked, is there anything in particular I need to check/watch out for?
Thanks, Grant

As above, the throttle positioning sensor on older models was a problem, with symptoms of the back wheel locking up on downchanges, and stalling at junctions. Yamaha recalled them though, so most of them should have been fixed long ago.

Aside from that, I just sold my FZ6 a couple of months back after three years of stress free motoring (aside from the TPS problem). You won't really go wrong with one of those.

Nothing other than the TPS issue mentioned above.

Done 7k miles and a handful of trackdays on mine. Can't go wrong with one!

I'm not sure, a Yamaha dealer might be able to tell you. Otherwise it's just a case of looking for the symptoms.
