It's been awhile and I'm reminiscing in my childhood gaming experiences. Gran Turismo 1 has to be my favourite game intro. This tends to change every now and then, though. Last year it was Ridge Racer Type 4.

Warhammer Mark of Chaos. Rubbish game, great intro. In fact, most Games Workshop games have pretty good intros. Dawn of War, Dawn of War 2 etc.

It isn't an intro, but the Menu to the Grey Wolves Silent Hunter 3 mod, with the mix of authentic B&W footage and sombre music, sets an awesomely grim tone for the U boat war in the Atlantic.

World of tanks.

I.e just a loading screen, while a game intro may be great first time round clicking past it each and every time gets tiresome. I still remember Alien3 on the megadrive. That had an enormous number of title screens.

Quake 3 Arena. At the time I was doing a bit of 3D animation and what was happening in that intro was so far ahead of anything else at the time it might as well have come from another planet.
