I think it's the shell V power, first time I filled up with that my bike felt much better to ride. Now I always try to use it!

Nothing, I'd probably say chain lube stopped any nasty scraping sounds but in terms of V power it does nothing to your bike Thumbs Up

Is it possible that the mechanic adjusted your chain when he fixed your tyre?

More likely that he fitted all the wheel spacers.

That was Saturday I've done 140 miles since.

He didn't touch the adjuster nuts or calliper just advised I need new rear pads.

He should have adjusted something...

You can't get the wheel back in without slackening the adjusters off and tightening them back up again.

I'm going to fill with regular 95 next time I will come to my own conclusion.

Your bike will not make use of the high octane stuff.

I doubt the fuel made much difference, think half these things are more marketing and placebo than a real marked difference in terms of benefit for the additional cost.

I do recall my varadero benefitting from the occasional use of super unleaded from BP, perhaps an additive in it cleaned the carb out a bit

Dear.

Lord.

You have neither the performance or sensors to make use of anything above 91 odd RON fuel. I use the cheapest fuel I can find and its perfectly fine and has been for 19,000 miles.

Oh well if it gives you a headache... it must be the fuel Thinking

I'm off to throw away my spanners because they smell of oil, the odourless ones at Halfords are superior i think
