There generally isn't any conspiracy to enslave mankind. No one with any power wants to rely on anyone else with power to do what they agree and also to keep the secret.

However, the way that the current financial system works does allow the banks ridiculous control over our lives. That isn't a conspiracy, just the way things have worked out.

Similarly, Google has a massive amount of power over our lives, our data and our privacy, and so does Facebook. These people ARE organised into a single entity (a company) and so they are the ones to worry about. Information is a valuable commodity.

Conspiracies only exist to explain why mediocre people are mediocre without having to admit that it's their own lack of ambition, intelligence and gumption that is the cause.

Surely the matter of whether or not things are legally under private ownership is completely irrelevant.

If we're playing the Global Lizard Elite game, then 'public' ownership is not what it says on the tin anyway.
