I just glanced through, I didn't see anything about all other vehicles (excluding bikes usually) trying to kill you

They never told you that when the little plastic tabs on your visor break you can still use it....... until the day that you forget. You push it up too far and it pings off...flaps about then gets run over.
And not cheap to replace. £50 for a visor!

Don't know about anyone else but I was told that prior to becoming a biker so not relevant for this list Wink

Agreed apart from friends and random people asking for a go, all my friends who aren't scared shitless of bikes either have one or have been forbidden one by their better halves.. either way, no one in my circle would presume to ask. Even had to offer a mate a go on my blade as he was in the process of deciding what bike he wanted next to replace his trusty 600FZR. He came back with a huge grin on his face and promptly decided a full litre bike was too much for him Very Happy lol (he's got a YZF750 now)

Generally agree. They forgot to mention how you quickly become supremely paranoid that every car driver is plotting to murder you at the next junction.

They didn't tell you that your bike (well, mine in particular) will cost you more to run than a an average diesel car.

Yes, yes IT DOES!

And I thought I just had a heavy wrist at traffic lights.

Only problem I've found.... other than knocking on the window and screaming 'RACE YA'.... how the fuck do they know, as it seems a bit unfair when I look in the mirror and see about a half mile of clear road with headlights at the start of it Sad

Your Bike Is Stronger Than You ThinkOh my god, you hit the rev limiter! Forgot to adjust the chain! Your tires are 2psi off! Relax. Your motorcycle is a lot tougher than you would think. It’s a highly capable feat of modern engineering and, part of its design process is devoted to making it stand up to your ham fisted abuses. Yes, you can take your bike on a trackday. Yes, you can take it on that weekend road trip. Yes, you can ride it fast and hard and put it away dirty. Your bike’s not going to melt in the rain.

Wish someone told me this the first couple of years biking, worried over each thing mentioned at some time or another Embarassed

Confused doesn't even mention the amount of times you have to read that faggy "you didn't see me/bikers poem".

Or the even ghey-er...

He was the only one of the pair wearing the crash helmet (she didn't have one).
He loved her so much that he removed his own helmet and passed it to his sweetheart pillion just seconds before the fatal crash.
He'd sacrificed himself to save her life.

Shocked

OR the ever so tedious repetitive posting about going past someone who had broken down or a link to a news article about a random biker no one (on here) knew who crashed/died.
