wel or rather the diesel that leaks out the bottom of them causing me to slip and fall!!!! grrr
i managed to:
break the nob off the end of the brake lever
scratch the fairing right above the kickstart
scratch my flippin exhaust
however the mirror seemed to just spin round and is still intact?
and that was after an hour of kickstarting it! ____________________ DNA50 (sorry) ->> TZR125l >> GPZ500S |

You wouldn't believe how much fuel tehre was on the roads where I was today....absolutely incredible, I'm not kidding when I say it was rare to see a dry/clean bit of road for a good solid 3 miles, and then, still, it was peppered with the stuff everywhere.
Not good for a recently past his test kid, especially one with a bike thats got a new rear tyre on... |

But you can get on a train & know exactly where the train goes and where it stops and where to get off!
I'm frightened of buses taking me to unknown places and not knowing where I can get off or where the bus is going!!

Jamie, your sig should read "Brake hard", not break.

Yeah buses are annoying, espically when they stop, move a few yards, then stop again at the next bus stop. Sometimes you have nob drivers that start to pull out when your in the process of overtakin. |

I hate buses because the of scum they tend to use them. Also the smelly old people that use them If you want to see scum get the bus. (Although I do accept that decent people travel on buses too. I saw one once ).
I think most diesel spills come from sh1tty old work vans rather than buses. |

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

You need to learn to scowl at people and look generally offensive. It's quite funny sometimes, though you probably should just sit in the aisle seat. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

As one of the scum that travels by bus ( ) I hate them too.
They do indeed pull out randomly.
They also brake like maniacs (usually just as I'm struggling down the aisle with a heavy bag at the end of the day trying to squeeze past pushchairs that want to own the damn aisle).
They do indeed stink - sometimes of old people, sometimes of whatever the tosser who was out on saturday night threw up down the back of the seat, more often than not of certain illegal substances.
They rarely know what timetable they are supposed to stick to and claim to have no idea what happened to the 5 buses you saw go the other way to the terminus over the last hour never to be seen again.... (we all know they miss out the back roads on this estate on the way back out but the bastages never admit to it)
Many of the drivers on the routes I've used over the years also seem to enjoy making eye contact with you and smiling as you attempt a speed shuffle to the bus, with walking stick in hand, and then promptly close the doors and pull out when you are about 8 feet away from the doors.
Most of the people who use them have no idea wtf a queue is. Hence even when you have been waiting for some time at least 10 people will suddenly materialise and barge their way to the front stepping on whomever they need to in order that they can grab that front seat.
The same group of people also seem incapable of giving up their seat for an elderly disabled person as well. After all, their screaming, snivelling little snot-nosed kid needs the seat more.
And then of course, there are the charming people who seem to think that your seat is also their's. They proceed to sit almost on your lap and fling elbows into your face at every given opportunity yet give you filthy looks if you so much as fidget a little to get some breath in. (On a side note, let's not forget those who think they can grope you (oh so very subtlely) and then have a scrabble in their trousers).
Oh yeah, and they drop diesel too... the bastages! ____________________ "when i look down i just miss all the good stuff

Buses terrify me. I hate the way they just pull out regardless of who is next to it!

I know flip - I was just being mock-offended
That and as I travel approximately 3 to 4 hours a day most days a week on the buggers I needed to vent... I think it's the way I do this at home that makes tarmacsurfer keep poking me about getting my bike licence sorted... Ah well.... uni break soon. Means I can cut the travel down to a minimum and do work from home for a couple of weeks instead. I should have calmed down enough by then to get through another term of it ____________________ "when i look down i just miss all the good stuff

Buses are evil . Two conspired to squish me last week. Was filtering between them and one decideds while red to move a bit closer. Both mirrors scratching against buses. Felt very stupid indeed With everyone on bus looking at me.
