Hey peeps, a tad new to the forum, and looking for some help if possible.

I recently purchased, at what I thought was a brilliant price, a Y plate, Gilera DNA 125.

Since I received it, I haven't even been able to get her on the road, as firstly the exhaust blew off! yes, literally OFF!

I've fitted a new one, along with a Raging Bull battery.

Now the battery is draining rapidly, and what we did notice, is the cooling fan kicks in almost immediately after attempting to turn the bike over.

Once I switch the ignition off,. even if she fails to start, on comes the fan....

Anybody, any idea how to resolve this?

A good smattering of ACF 50 and a blob of grease in that throttle cable sleeve, I'd say! Wink

Haha very effective idea there Slimc.

However, the hose clip with no hose on it concerns me...

Fuel pipe?

Edit: Can't be, it's far too high up the carb.

That my friend is on the other side, im wandering (cos im an idiot at this bit...) if its just supposed to be a breather pipe? See I'd f whacked it next to another bike the same, but no one for miles has the same bike... in fact, here there are few bikes!

Interesting concept there, and I have to agree, this bike "had to be different" regretting it already.... I'lkl take a closer look using the diagrams as ref Very Happy

They are 'different'.....but i think the best of both worlds for a city commuter . safe front end and scooter engine transmission placed low down .

nice picks and one off paint job?

They make CG 125's and clones look agricultural .

Hey, Yeah custom paint job, was needed for advertising my company on.

Funny you should say safe front end, it doesnt feel very safe to me, its very twitchy and doesnt feel very stable compared to other bikes ive rode?

you should try riding a type 1 Cg , or Lifan 125 drum braker to feel the danger , or try a honda cable disc?
a good front tyre and serviced shocks always helps . On the DNA the tyres look smaller and fatter , but changing to wheels is difficult cos of the scooter transmission . Try a new custom front end?

Previous bike was a Lifan 125 - 30 Samurai, the front end just feels like it wants to throw me off on the slightest uneven part of any road, it is actually really bad, think im gunna have to take her into a garage, forks look straight, bounce seems okay but a bit "spongy"
