Don't waste your time, that cool 'cheap' 125 will become expensive after paying for registration, hassle and your time, plus the question what if you can't register.

Pick up a uk bike with uk papers and start riding it.

Have fun.

You need to go to (or write to ) a dvla office

You need proof of ownership etc and then fill out a v5, pay for the road tax, and there's a fee of about £50 on top

Then it will be uk registered and they give you all the paperwork etc you need

It is pretty straightforward, you anywhere near a dvla office ? Probably easiest to turn up in person with all your paperwork, save pissing about with letters etc

If you have its european log book, its fairly easy, you will need to register yourself on the government gateway site, once you have your registration number and password, you can register the bike on NOVA, once thats done, insure it, mot it, fill in a v55 for, then take the paper work to a dvlc local office, they will sort out a v5 and an age related plate, I have a cheat sheet to help you through nova......
Im just registering my nordwest, then I shall be doing my kr1s
