I was inflating my tyres, pulled of the hose and it took the valve with it Shocked

Thought that's it,bikes not going to be moving for a few days but I plugged the valve back in and it held up pretty well, I've done 10 miles on it since but I'm constantly paranoid that it's going to release.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I believe new valves are fitted by breaking the bead and fitting them from the inside, is that correct?

I'd get that replaced ASAP. If it fails you're going to get a sudden deflation - not a pleasant experience.

Valves are fitted from the inside of the wheel and pulled into place,

Oh and tyre not tire. Wink

You shoved the valve back in through the hole? Don't ride the bike any further - get a new valve fitted.

yh it was one of those sub-concious errors Laughing embarrassing.

I've always taken rims to garages to change tyres but I'm hoping to do this myself with a leaver
