Right then, I'm seriously considering this as my next bike. There's a decent one in my price bracket and I've got the tingle of excitement in my belly. It's totally different from my VFR which is what I'm after but the thing is I've never ridden a single cylinder bike like this in my life. Has anybody got one, ridden one?? Does it vibrate like a jack hammer? Does it need servicing every time you take it out? Would it be any good for commuting? What else should I know before committing?

It's an LC8 V-Twin you silly billy.

Probably sounds mint, requires above-average maintenance, isn't very comfortable over 100mph etc. etc. typical supermoto stuff really. Do it Thumbs Up

Well there you go then. That's how little I know about them Very Happy I assumed all KTM's were single cylinder.

The new SuperDuke has a 1,300CC engine, that would be one hell of a piston Shocked

LC4 = single
LC8 = twin

Applies to most of the road-going KTM range.

I am sure there are a few owners of the 950 on here, they should be helpful.

I really wanted one for touring, but then it turns out that the fuel economy is rubbish. The exact opposite of what you want on tour.
