Sold the NS125R yesterday for £800 to one of my brothers mates, haven't got the cash to do my test and get a bigger bike so i'm looking for another 125 2 stroke.

Thanks for that pipnet, don't need it to work now because the bikes gone. I got an offer i couldn't refuse, i would have really struggled to get £800 for the bike in perfect condition and it's not in perfect condition, now i can get another 125 and maybe have a little money extra to spend on mods, i think the RS, Mito and newish NSR's are out of that price range but i would quite like an older NSR the one that looks the same as the NS but has rear disk brake and a powervalve, i like the look of the older TZR's and the AF1 as well. I would have another NS125R as well because i loved that bike but only if i could find one for around £500 then i could spend the extra cash on mods and bike lessons.

What everyone is asking is...

Why did you sell the bike in the first place if you want to buy another one?!

Its very difficult not to lose some money when selling one bike and buying the next, so why didnt you stick with the 125 2 stroke you already had?!

How bad was it? £800 suggests it was either bad.. or old.

Nah, i use the bike for pleasure, i have a car for the reliability, i need the speed of a 2stroke 125. Also i like the sportsbike look so a CG doesn't exactly satisfy my needs.

There wasn't really much wrong with it, it just needed about £80 spent on it to make it perfect. I bought it in March for £500 sold it in December for £800, i have looked on biketrader, adtrader and ebay and they are all selling at around £650, remember this is a NS not a NSR they don't look as nice as the NSR and aren't quite as fast, it is also a 12 year old bike

Yeah loads of people make that mistake, i don't think the NS was ever as popular or well known as the NSR, they definetly made it better. Does anyone know much about the older TZR's around 1992, how do they fare against other sport 125 2 strokes, deristricted 0-60, top speed, do they have a powervalve, have they got disk brakes on front and back.

Ebay is your only hope. Not a great time to buy because most people will wait for spring to sell. On the other hand, people selling now will sell for less. Either way, ebay.

Still think you have made work for yourself. Hope you find something better than the NS

You'll get a decent condition AR125 for 600 quid and another 200 will insure it.

If you want a cheap 125, then maybe the Yamaha RD125LC might be a good choice. They are quick and beat quite a few modern 125's off the line.
