I think it's nice, though I'm not a sports bike person, normally. As the ad says, you won't lose this in a parking lot! Thumbs Up

Looks in good enough condition not to burst into flames on you first ride out Wink

Visibility is a valuable asset on today's roads.

I'm sure I saw an old set of Honda leathers in a vintage clothing shop which matched that bike exactly

I'm in agreement with the HotWheels logo comment, it looks like a toy. But that might be what you want.... not to my taste personally.

At that price and at that mileage for a vfr 800 I would be round like a shot and bite his hand off.

Yes I would, as you can guess.

Had two of the vfr 750's and loved them till one got knocked over by skallys way too many times and the fairings are shot and the next ne has been writen off by a daft wee lassy who " didn't see you there"
as she ploughed in to me .

such is life

It is in the colours of the V&M racing team as ridden by David Jeffries TT rider in the 1999 season

Could he have been on the Honda's in '98?

I just had to go back and look at my pics from the TT that year. Honda were celebrating 50 years since Sochiro first went to the island, and blanketed the field; (seem to recall the R1's took the senior & proddy from them though!); and V&M were given a chunk load of cash and every privateer that had a Honda Motor done buy them seemed to have got a V&M pain-job!

Was woken up by a 'Hotwheels' livery Side-Car, or at least it was the one I saw as I poked my nose out the tent to find out what all the fuss was about; when they shifted they decided not to cancel the chariot racing; due to the weather; and slotted in unscheduled practice as silly-o-clock in the morning at the end of the week!

Trying to think; RC30, had had its time; and been replaced, about what, 95? By the RC45; but I have a feeling that '98 was the year they decided to out Ducati Ducati with the VTR, and that was what they put their top dogs on; but covering their bets at the TT they had every national team that could field a bike there in thier colours, with HRC technicians prepping the bikes for them!

However; height of the Rece-Replica era; they offered numerous 'Replica' pain-schemes straight out the brochure on the variouse different models; but I dont think that the V&M scheme was everuy one they duplicated; as such, its a little bit of history, and it does stand out as something a bit different and possibly a tad 'special'; and doesn't look TOO out of place on VFR.

Brave, and appealing in a curious sort of way; but... I don't think I would buy it; does make the other wise utterly unremarkeable VFR a 'little' more interesting; but that is what VFR's are about; just getting on with the job! 'Interesting' would be for a Fire-Storm, on which I dont think I would be so self conscious about clambering on it.

https://i.ebayimg.com/t/Honda-VFR800Fi-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/ZtAAAOxyhs5SNzqa/$(KGrHqZ,!oIFIq4QnbBVBSNzq,BBO!~~60_58.JPG

Its got a rack & tote bag on it FFS! Could you imagine if you DID use that VFR as intended and chuck on hard-boxes? It would look rather 'silly' the full on race-rep, with boring black boxes on the back! You'd just HAVE to get them painted to match... which would probably wind up with something looking like an Arlen Ness low-rider on stilts!!

Which... could be quite funky in an overdose of pisstaking bad taste kind of way.....

But NOT for me I think!

Not sure if I like it enough to ride it though...

Look like a good deal, he's replaced the bits that are common failures on this model (regulator/rectifier etc). I also like the paint job, wouldn't be my first choice but for that price it wouldn't bother me.
