Sad, sad news. GWS fella - if there was ever anyone who doesn't deserve an injury like that, it's got to be him.

(and a link to RBP cos it's ace)

Happened a while ago.

He's hoping to finish the editing of road bike party 2 regardless.

It doesn't look good, but hopefully he'll make a recovery, and have some mobility back.

No update on his condition from me, but Road Bike Party 2 has been completed with some help from Chris Askrigg and Danny McAskill.

In my humble opinion, the new vid isn't a patch on the old one. Nice locations, interesting tricks and so on, but the original had power because the bike he did it on wasn't a stunter. It was a race bike. Seen as fragile and properly-out-of-touch-expensive and "how the hell can you try that on a piece of rolling art" etc. The stunts he did were (and still are) mind blowing, and to be able to do it hampered by low bars pointing 90 degrees to 'normal' was a hell of an achievement. As was him not being knocked about the knackers with such a high and obvious top tube and saddle.

The new vid shows nothing new, it's just a few more tricks. And the ones performed by Danny McAskill have been done before (and better) in the programme that was on the telly the other night.

What it does show is that even with his massive change of circumstance, he's still got influence in the world of bikes. That his mates came along to finish the video off shows the respect he's got within the stunters' circles and that's really... nice...

I'm personally just gutted for the bloke to have that amount of talent and be able to do nothing now, he's looking at the rest of his life in a wheelchair. I can't figure out whether he can move his arms or not. Crying or Very sad
