can you get a cancellation mod 1 date?

When I done mine a few people just didn't bother turning up, just ring them every morning and check with them. Good luck with your tests.

Hmm, you're more likely to get mod 2 cancellations, I got one for the morning after my mod 1.

No harm in keeping an eye open though, just hit up the site multiple times a day and be swift like a striking cobra.

Phone or look online after about 4pm

Schools have to 'hand back' any tests they aren't going to use around a week before or they lose them. They will hang onto them until the last minute in case they get a booking

I kept checking the website and managed to see a few earlier slots for both mod 1 and 2.

My MOD 1 was cancelled due to "explosions" as the car recycling plant next door had exploded and cars kept randomly exploding, apparently disturbing the people doing their tests.

I used to check 1-2 times a day for both bike mods and later my car test, shifted them all by a week or two due to cancellations - no guarantee but definately worth keeping an eye on

Yup, keep checking online. When I was doing my car test the DSA page was constantly open in another tab and refreshed every few mins. Managed to get some nice cancellations. Normal waiting time was about 6 weeks, but managed to get the tests much earlier than the original date.

My bike tests were both booked in through the bike school (Rugby Rider) and both mod 1 and 2 the guy managed to get about a week after he said I was ready. Training schools have tests pre-booked with the DSA and they can just assign a name to it, so nice & quick.
