Looking at how some people communicate online and via sms, it would appear agraphia is now the trendy 'must have' for this decade. Its surprising how many people change the way they write when you point out that to most people, they are portraying themselves as being thick and uneducated.

Spelling and grammar has definitely gone down the pan, my nephew and niece are both shocking at spelling when you see the stuff they write on fb. My mates lads are the same too.

It's just sloppiness and apathy. As someone as mentioned the old "It's just the internet, no one cares" argument springs to mind on a number of occasions, seeing as the internet will only get bigger and become a far more integrated part of our lives, hopefully it wont become 'just the internet' and lean more towards how you would write a letter to a friend.

The only time I can honestly find it acceptable is when you're speaking to someone else who likes to write that way (they can pretend it's their language), but otherwise when writing an advertisement, having it poorly written as shown for the "Qwod bike" will only attract undesirables - I'd imagine.
