The average age of motorcyclists in the UK is rising due to the new licensing laws. This is not something we should be encouraging.

It would be far better to get young people into biking than to worry about a club for old motorcyclists.

I'm (only just) eligible to join this, but don't yet see the need to break up into groups. First, with the way the EU/licensing laws are going, we'll soon get to the point where all motorcyclists will be above 50, because there won't be any 18-49 year olds able to jump through the ever-smaller hoops. Second, bikers are bikers, whether 18 or 88. I just avoid the "Random Banter" section and can barely tell the codgers from the whippersnappers.

#1 Is the world not already replete with Harleyfag geezer-clubs?

#2 At the local Motorrad opening, I genuinely felt like the token callow Yoof, at a mere 41. The nice misters in the shop let me sit on the ickle 'F' and 'G' bikes though, and go "Vroom vroom! Beep beep!" while the grown ups talked their grown up talk about the proper 'S' and 'R' machines.

I personally don't believe we dont need any more segregation within the biking community.
I`ve already decided not to re-join the VMCC as it seems to be completely about old men on even older Brit iron.
I turned up on a 33 year old Honda (1980 Superdream) and you would of thought I was a baby-killer .
A couple of the silly old farts wouldn't even talk to me because I was on a Jap bike???.

Show me a club that includes all bikers and that includes L-platers and I might join.

As for growing old disgracefully?... I don't need to join a club to do that .
