Just passed my CBT and have purchased a 2006 YBR 125.

I can tell it needs a few bits touching up here and there where corrosion has got to it but nothing too bad.

I am new to biking though.

It is just a standard ybr naked, no fairing and not the custom model.

I need advice though on which parts are interchangable from this model and the newer facelift version of my bike.

Where on the forum would be a good place for me to ask?

I need some new tyres and am looking at pilot sportys but unsure if these are correct ones? https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?s_p=Michelin-Pilot-Sporty-2_75-18-TT_TL-42P&details=Ordern&typ=R-127886&cart_id=33343486.110.13118&ranzahl=1&Breite=2.75&Herst=Michelin&Felge=18&weiter=0&kategorie=6&Ang_pro_Seite=15&dsco=110&Cookie=froogle&m_s=1

Thanks,

Jim.

Ah, good choice. Carby one, right?

I can't see you having too many problems finding parts for that year. What are you after?

Welcome and just ride to get the practice.

Workshop. Just remember to identify the parts you need/want. If unsure posting pictures help.

Thumbs Up

I had a YBR125 and opted for Metzeler ME22s instead of Pilots. Much cheaper, and I thought they were very good - a big improvement on what was originally on there.

Yes Rogerborg I completed it you're right Smile.

Yes its a carb version.

Map, Just things like I have just sourced a side stand which the early model didn't have, this is much better now. But I'm unsure on things like, if the sports rack / grab rail on the newer version fits my version. And various other things like that.

Too late on the tyres, I have purchased pilot sports for £86 a pair delivered.

Is fitting these myself a hard job, and then just taking them to be balanced?

Thanks for the warm welcome,

Jim.

I don't give a crap what people say about the CBT, as far as I'm concerned you passed, cause you have to ride to a certain standard or you don't get the certificate...

Welcome to the forum.
