Muffs and bar end mirrors

Have been slowly persuading myself to buy a set of nice warm muffs for the winter.

As I have bar end mirrors fitted, do any of the muffs on the market offer a fitting solution, or would I have to cut holes in the bloody things?

Yes, I could swap back to normal mirrors, but to be honest the bar ends are THAT much better that I'd rather not...

get the bar end ones and put muffs on then replace mirrors?

Bar end ones are sealed so you won't refit the mirrors on there.

You can either...

A, Have no mirrors and shoulder check more.

B, Fit normal mirrors.

C, Have no muffs.

D, Take the car.

Tucano urbano muffs have a hole in the rubbery bit that goes over the bar end.

What bar end mirrors do you have?

Thanks Paddy - I could go for option D, but one of the cars is a bit too powerful (read twitchy) for icy roads, and the other is off the road after one too many salty winters in the last 27 years!

Hmm - so it's basically a case of swap back to normal mirrors or tough.

Might kick the GPZ500 out of the garage for the winter then... Wink

They look like a bit of a pita to work around, could probably bodge it, but it would be easier to fit the original mirrors if you have them.

Fit the bar end ones, drill a hole through the muffs and refit mirrors with a couple of washers and some Sikaflex if you're worried about water ingress.
